Make the right investment

June 14th, 2010

A lot of people are interested in the Turks and Caicos real estate. Many of them wish to contribute some of their investments in such means of real estate. The opportunities are increasing day-by-day. The reason however is due to the European consideration towards the Turks and Caicos real estate and also in relation to the fluctuating currency. The fluctuating currency does come across as one of the factors that may affect the investments made in the real estate firms.

The Turks and Caicos have its currency in the US dollar. Considering the fact that many European nations also like to invest in the Turks and Caicos real estate, there is a lot of exchange going on in the currency. The exchange takes place either from US dollars to Euros or the other way round. The change in the dollar rate does affect the whole process of exchange. Sometimes, you don’t get what you expect, the rate that you have in mind might not be the same as what you get. For instance the rates that are today are €0.78 / £0.53 to US$1.00. But the case wasn’t the same in the year 2002, the €1.165 or £0.70 to US$1.00. So, the changes are obvious and right in front of your eyes.

Notting Hill publisher signs rising music star

June 4th, 2009

A publishing company based in Notting Hill has signed one of the artists nominated at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards.

The songwriter Nick Hemming, who performs under the name of The Leisure Society, was recently nominated by the awards judging panel for his song The Last of the Melting Snow.

He has now signed a publishing deal with Notting Hill Music, a long-established firm which helps to sell music by the likes of Dizzee Rascal.

Although Mr Hemming’s act is currently said to be without a record deal, it is hoped that the new publishing agreement will see greater interest in the 35-year-old singer-songwriter.

Until the Ivor Novello ceremony, the musician was said to be working in a warehouse and following a musical career in his spare time.

Notting Hill Music aims to promote the interests of a number of diverse artists including Funeral for a Friend and Jay-Z.

It currently monitors the publishing copyrights of around 25,000 global performers.
